Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-08-23
Draft. This describes how Shotcaller actually handles data today, but it has not been reviewed by counsel and is not a final agreement. It will be replaced before Shotcaller charges for anything.
These terms cover your use of Shotcaller — this site, the web app, and the API behind them.
Your account
You need an account to use the product, and you're responsible for what happens under it. Sign-in is passwordless: we email a code or a link, so keeping your email account secure is what keeps your Shotcaller account secure. One account is for one person — don't share it with your coaching staff. Invite them instead, which is free and gives them their own sign-in.
Your team's content
Your playbooks, plays, formations, and rosters are yours. We don't claim ownership of them. We store and display them so the product can work, and so the people you've invited to your team can see them.
You're responsible for having the right to enter the information you enter — which matters most for rosters, since those describe other people's children. Only add a player or a guardian contact if you're authorized to.
Acceptable use
- Don't use Shotcaller to harass anyone, including through team chat.
- Don't try to reach another team's data, or probe for a way to.
- Don't resell access, and don't share one paid account across teams that should each have their own.
- Don't upload anything unlawful, or anything you don't have the rights to.
Plans and billing
Shotcaller has a free tier and paid subscriptions. Paid plans bill through Stripe, renew automatically at the interval you chose, and can be cancelled at any time from your billing settings. Cancelling stops future charges and leaves your current period running to the end of what you paid for.
A paid plan sets how many of your teams can be active at once. You can create as many teams as you like; activating a team is what turns on the collaboration features — roster, invites, schedule, announcements, and chat. If you move to a smaller plan, teams past your new limit become inactive. Their data is kept, not deleted, and reactivating restores access.
Availability
We work to keep Shotcaller up, especially on game day, but we don't promise uninterrupted service. Print your call sheet and your wristbands ahead of time — that's good practice regardless of us.
Ending things
You can stop using Shotcaller and delete your account whenever you want. We may suspend an account that's breaking these terms, and we'll tell you why when we do.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll say so before the change takes effect rather than quietly editing this page.
